One of the hardest changes our bodies go through as we age is hearing loss. It can make it difficult to understand, follow, or join conversations. You might struggle to hear phone calls, take part in online meetings, or follow TV shows.
Hearing loss can affect your ability to work, talk with others, and enjoy life. In most cases, it cannot be reversed.
More than 1 in 10 people in the United States have some degree of hearing loss. About 1 in 3 adults over 65 and nearly half adults 75 and older have age-related hearing loss.
Hearing Aid Coverage with Medicare Part C
Original Medicare, which includes Part A (Hospital Insurance) and Part B (Medical Insurance), does not cover the cost of hearing aids or routine hearing exams for adults.
This is where a Medicare Advantage plan such as KelseyCare Advantage can help. Also referred to as Part C, Medicare Advantage plans are bundled plans that offer coverage for things not included in Parts A and B.
The KelseyCare Advantage Difference
KelseyCare Advantage cares about your hearing. Hearing is one of our most important senses, and we want to help you protect it. Hearing aids can be expensive, but cost shouldn’t keep you from getting the care you need. There are ways to help with the cost.
KelseyCare Advantage in-network hearing coverage offers a $0 copay for routine annual hearing exams, diagnostic hearing exams for only the amount of a specialist copay, and a hearing aid allowance of $750 per ear, every three years.
Get the Hearing Coverage You Deserve
If you’re on Original Medicare, your hearing care is not covered. You risk paying out of pocket for hearing exams and hearing aids. With a Medicare Advantage Plan like KelseyCare Advantage, hearing coverage is included at no additional cost to you.
