2025 Medicare Prescription Payment Plan

A payment option called the Medicare Prescription Payment Plan is available beginning in 2025. Alongside your current drug coverage, this payment plan helps you manage out-of-pocket costs for Medicare Part D drugs by spreading them throughout the remainder of the calendar year.

Drug costs in January can be spread out January through December, while added drug costs in July can only be distributed August through December.

All KelseyCare Advantage plans with drug coverage (Freedom (HMO-POS) and Signature (HMO)) offer this payment option. Participation is voluntary and no cost to you.

The Payment Plan will be administered by Optum Rx on behalf of KelseyCare Advantage.

Important things to remember:

• This payment option may help you manage and spread out your monthly expenses but it does not save your money or lower your drug costs.
• Each month you will continue to pay your health or drug plan premium (if you have one), and you’ll get a bill to pay for your prescription drugs from your plan instead of paying the pharmacy.
• To participate in this voluntary and no-cost payment plan, opt in online at Medicare Prescription Payment Plan (optumrx.com) or call us at 844-368-8729 (TTY: 711).
